Moxie Market!

This past Friday, I participated Moxie Market at work by selling my paintings and jewelry. It was such a fun experience and so cool to set everything up and have tons of people browse and comment on all of your goods. There were about 18 people selling things…from homemade soap, to jars of jelly, to jewelry, to clothes, you name it! Thought I would share some pics of the event!

Relaxing Weekend

This past weekend I stayed in town and it was so wonderful! I loved not having to hop in a car straight from work to go somewhere…it was a much needed dose of relaxation! Unfortunately I don’t have any pics since my camera was dead but I can still share :)

Friday night I went and met some friends at Social in Vingings. I had never been out in Vinings before but it is a such a cute little part of the city. Very eclectic and has some fun nooks worth checking out. Social is definitely an older crowd but a very cool and open atmosphere.(Great martinis too!)
Saturday, I worked on some paintings (since I am selling my stuff @ moxie Market this Friday), cleaned up, ran errands and just caught up on things. It was wonderful :) Saturday night, I met 2 girls from work at Holeman and Finch…and I am now obsessed with that place :) I had heard the rumor about them throwing 25 burgers on the grill every night @ 10:00 pm and you having to reserve one before they run out. Well that’s exactly what we did and it was well worth the late night meal! The burgers were fantastic and the atmosphere was so cool. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something different…it’s a guys heaven with all the meat dishes!Sunday, I went running back in Brookhaven and enjoyed the sunshine, organized, went to Trader Joe’s and just got ready for the week! All in all, it was a great and productive weekend.

Unique, Modern Find

So the other day I was blog browsing at work because I needed a break, and stumbled upon this awesome watch line because one of the blogs I was on had a friend who started this company. I was intrigued so I clicked over to the site and LOVED what I saw. La Mer is a modern and eclectic brand of watches that are various colors, shapes and styles. My favorite are the ones that wrap because they are different looking and add a modern spin to a watch. Below is a snippet on the history of the company that I pulled from the site.

La Mer was established in 2001 when Martine rummaged through her jewelry drawer and could not find a simple, stylish and feminine watch to wear. Combining her passion for design, love of quality materials and simple beauty, La Mer Collections was born. Inspiration is drawn from her journeys: South Africa’s colorful markets, Bali’s lush flowers, Italy’s gorgeous leathers and Thailand’s clear blue ocean. Each season La Mer’s color palette is chosen from these bright and colorful experiences. La Mer Collections’ focus is on classic watch faces designed exclusively by Martine Ilana, paired with beautiful leather straps. Every leather wrap watch is hand assembled in the United States and made with care.”

You can also customize your own face and band which I thought was neat. Some online retailers that sell the watches are Bloomingdale’s and Shop Bop along with many more! I’m thinking about putting one on the birthday list :)
