Barefoot Contessa!

OK, I LOVE to eat and I LOVE the Food Network...I just need to throw that out there :) I have developed a passion for watching cooking shows and attempting to replicate what I see on TV in my own 'kitchen' (however I wish I had time to cook more often). My favorite show is Barefoot Contessa by Ina Garten...I love her simplistic and elegant recipes and the decorating tips she throws in while cooking or setting a table arrangement. Ina lives in East Hampton, N.Y., and broadcasts most of her shows her fabulous guest house on her East Hampton property. I had to include pictures of her "guest house" b/c they are simply AMAZING. This gives you a glimpse into her clean and fresh style which I love.

I recently bought Ina's cookbook shown above (Barefoot Contessa at Home) and can't wait to try out some of her fabulous recipes. She always says on her show that nothing beats a cozy dinner, surrounded by the people you love most, in the comfort that only your own home can provide. In "Barefoot Contessa at Home," Ina shares her life in East Hampton, the recipes she loves, and her secrets to making guests feel welcome and comfortable! I will keep you posted on the recipes I attempt :)

Cynthia at Target!

I have been so excited about this so thought I would share. I don't know how many of you are familiar with Twelfth St. By Cynthia Vincent but it's a clothing line that can be described as colorful, chic and bohemian. Some pieces are more out there than others but she has some fun stuff. You can find her at Bloomingdale's, Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc... I found out a few weeks ago that she is designing a line for Target and the collection will be available from April 18 through June 20, 2010 at Target stores and target.com. I am so excited to see what the styles look like...Here is a sneak peek into the new collection. Enjoy!

Perfect Weather, Perfect Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun. My parents were in town on Friday night because my mom was flying out of Atl on Saturday morning. We went to a fabulous little dinner @ Portofino...it was so great spend time with them. I miss them!

On Saturday, Joe and I headed to Athens for the G-Day game! It was weird to be @ a football game this early in the year but it was so much fun. The weather was PERFECT! We got into town just in time for kickoff :) The game was shorter than usual so it was nice to still have the afternoon to walk around Athens. After the game, we headed to The Globe which is a relaxing local Athens bar where we sat outside and enjoyed the great weather. We stayed @ Hotel Indigo which is such a cool space...I highly recommend it! The rooms had hardwood floors, framed art of local musicians, massive windows, and Aveda products (my favorite part!) They have such a cool outside area with lounge seats, fire pits etc... The inside bar was great too! Pics below :) We also squeezed in a dinner @ DePalma's and a fun night out!
