A Fabulous Affair

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing weekend.  Joe and I were in Charlotte for his friend Scott's wedding.  It was also a nice chance to see my family so it was the perfect multipurpose trip :)  We got in on Saturday morning and had a delicious lunch with my family and the Ratterree's at 131 Main.  I then headed home to get ready for the wedding.  The ceremony was beautiful followed by a FABULOUS Black-Tie reception at Myer's Park Country Club.  The reception had a wonderful band, great food and was an all around classy affair!  It was a fun night.

Look who I ran into!  Jen and I always seem to bump into each other at weddings :)  See her full blog post on this fun event here: http://www.peanutbutterrunner.com/wedding-fun/ (She got more pics than I did!

One of the few pictures I got of the beautiful bride, Anna...her dress was gorgeous!

I loved the simple and elegant table decor

It was a very fun weekend!

Perfect way to brighten a Monday

Happy Monday!  I don't know about you but I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee and it still seems as though I'm moving slower than I should be.  I'll go ahead and blame it on the dreary weather.  On a brighter note, I wanted to share the wonderful Today Show segment I had the pleasure of waking up to this morning.  It was an interview with the fabulous and ever chic Jenna Lyons, who many of you know is the creative director of J.Crew.  She is the mastermind behind the company's ever-growing success by creating timeless, high fashion looks for the everyday woman.  Enjoy!

A Charleston Wedding

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I was fortunate enough to spend mine in Charleston enjoying fabulous weather and time on the coast. One of Joe’s college friends was getting married so it was great that he was able to catch up with old friends from school since everyone usually scatters after graduation.

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Catholic Church on Meeting St. called St. John the Baptist.

They had a cocktail hour after the ceremony and before the reception at the historic Hibernian Hall.

Speeches were made before the reception

The reception was also held at Hibernian Hall in the upstairs ballroom.

On Sunday, we couldn’t leave without getting some delicious seafood at Blossom and taking a stroll on the Battery to enjoy the beautiful waterfront and scenery.
