CALYPSO Crazy

I visited my first Calypso St. Barth clothing boutique when I was walking through the West Village in NYC a few months ago. I had heard of it and browsed their website but had never been in an actual store…that’s when I fell in love :) Calypso presents an eclectic mix of elegant, comfortable, and colorful women's clothing, accessories, fragrance, and home décor. The below caption encompasses their approach to style perfectly…

Calypso aims to provide a no-fuss approach to style anywhere in the world by combining timeless pieces with diverse elements. Globally inspired details add a worldly touch, focusing on the concept of travel for shared experiences. Providing a subtle rumpled elegance coupled with a dash of tomboy shows the brands roots are deeply planted in the beach and island lifestyle.”

Aside from their clothing boutiques, they also have Calypso Home which opened its most recent store in East Hampton, NY…pics below:

Everything the store sells from home décor to clothes encompasses a chic, clean, and airy style with a splash of color that I absolutely love. The prices aren’t cheap but their things are fabulous. Their current boutique locations are limited to: Paris, New York, St. Barth, Chicago, Boston, California, and Florida.(Maybe Atlanta will get one soon!)

Cute Clip-Ons!

I was browsing Nordstrom Rack last week (yes, that place can be dangerous) and I stumbled upon some of the cutest jewelry. One of the things that amazed me the most were all of the cute clip-on earrings they sold! They had an entire Marjorie Baer earring section that had some of the most unique clip-on's I have ever seen…very vintage inspired which I love :) (Every once in a while you will see her stuff in Anthropologie!) I left with the 3 pairs below (since many of you know I can't wear heavy/dangly earrings anymore) :( So...when I see cute clip-ons, I get them!
Below are some more Marjorie Baer pieces (I just love how unique her style is)

Great Weekend

This past weekend I stayed in Atlanta Friday night and went to a Sips n Strokes class with 2 girls from work and one of their moms. It was so much fun…but I think we probably got one of the hardest paintings they have! Mine didn’t turn out too great but it was still nice to go and see what it was all about :) We brought wine, cheese and crackers and made a little night of it.

Saturday morning I got up super early and drove to Charlotte to meet my dad. My mom was in New Orleans helping my grandparents out because my grandma had eye surgery so I was sad I didn't get to see her…but it was so great to have some one on one time with the ole pops, especially for Father’s Day weekend :)

Some friends of the family's daughter was getting married @ 2:00 so my dad and I went to that as soon as I got into town…it was great to visit with everyone and play catch up with some people I hadn't seen in a long time. The wedding was beautiful! It was in uptown Charlotte on the gorgeous campus of Queens College. Saturday night we just relaxed and cooked dinner…it’s always so great to just lounge around my house at home, ha. Sunday we got up and went for a long walk. It was so very hot but great to get outside and enjoy the weather. My dad grilled burgers and we ate a delicious lunch before I headed back to the ATL. My brother, Michael, got back from a fishing trip in Hilton Head right before I left so it was a nice surprise to see him as well, even for a few mins! That was my weekend in a nutshell :) I hope everyone enjoyed theirs as well!
